Farmers Across Borders - Hay from WA, is a group of passionate farmers from Western Australia aiming to help those farmers in the eastern states who have been severely affected by the droughts. Following the successful trip in 2014, a call was made in September 2018 and so plans were started to do it again.
THE 2019 HAY RUN
On Australia Day 2019, 50 road trains will make the trip across the country from Western Australia to New South Whales, to deliver much needed hay (feed) to drought affected farmers in the eastern states. In conjunction with Lions, Need for Feed our goal is to provide hay & moral support during this time.
HOW CAN I HELP?
All of the hay traveling to NSW will be donated by generous West Aussie Farmers, all eager to help their farming neighbours still struggling in drought. Farmers Across Borders are always seeking to speak with those who are able to donate hay, or find out how a financial donation will assist the project.
FARMERS ACROSS BORDERS - HAY FROM WA
We are a not-for-profit community organisation born in 2014 in Esperance, Western Australia. This year we are working in conjunction with 'Lions Need for Feed' an organisation that has great knowledge & relationship with regional areas in the Eastern States.
The money donated by people like you, is going to assist with covering the cost of fuel to get our trucks across the border and over 3000 kilometres to Bourke, NSW.
